Planet Of Hope

Global Warming has stirred concerns within me, not only about human suffering and the destruction of our planet but the question of so called freedom. Namely freedom of speech. Looks like there is freedom as long as it does not affect the bottom line. This just re-enforces my beliefs that TV is a tool for controlling the minds of the population. I feel as though a veil is beginning to fall.

This is not new news but I am glad this is not dying easily.

As a government scientist, James Hansen is taking a risk. He says there are things the White House doesn't want you to hear but he's going to say them anyway.

Hansen is arguably the world's leading researcher on global warming. He's the head of NASA's top institute studying the climate. But this imminent scientist tells correspondent Scott Pelley that the Bush administration is restricting who he can talk to and editing what he can say. Politicians, he says, are rewriting the science.

I believe in the idea that everything is connected. Any act that you and I do creates a ripple that is felt throughout the universe. Pretty deep huh? Smile at someone and they may smile at the next person. Be rude to someone and their day may not go as well and in turn they may ruin another's day. For those of us that are enlightened to this concept it is our responsibility to ensure that future generations are aware of this. We can create reality by truly nurturing our children. As in death, with every birth our world changes. Every child has a purpose and it is up to us to provide opportunities to allow that child to discover this. My daughter was just brought into this world on 2/14 and as with the birth of my son there is a feeling, just as they enter the world, that the world will never be the same from this day on. I believe every birth has that impact on the globe. Seeing my children's faces every morning allows me a moment to pause and consider the actions I will be taking throughout the day and what will be the impact on them. Take a moment, forget time and be still.

Welcome to Planet Of Hope. This blog will revolve around my every day observations of environmental issues, religion, science and life. I titled this blog Planet Of Hope because aside, from my belief that we have entered into a reality where we will begin paying for our negligence of the soul and for our destructive greed, there is hope for all of us.

but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
